Our organisation had grown and diversified over a fairly short period of time and we wanted to ensure that our Health and Safety function was ‘fit for purpose’. We commissioned OHS to carry out a gap analysis by conducting a strategic review of our Health and Safety operations. As well as providing broad reassurance it has given us the tools to help us to develop the service to ensure it remains appropriately strategic and continues to drive a strong health and safety culture throughout the organisation. OHS took great care to ensure we worked collaboratively to develop the brief and worked well with the team throughout the process.

As a University, we obviously hold significant obligations to our employees, the public and our students to ensure that they are safe and protected at all times whilst on campus. We have worked in partnership with OHS since 2012 to manage asbestos risks across our property portfolio to ensure that we are fully compliant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. OHS offer pragmatic advice and support in strategic discussions and assist us in maintaining compliance through statutory inspections and training. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend OHS to other organisations in the Higher Education sector.

We have been supported by OHS for a number of years in the management of asbestos across our estate in Central London. Our compliance is monitored and managed utilising the C365Cloud system for which OHS provide the consultancy service wrap and the forward action plan. OHS have provided a bespoke and functional asbestos management plan for us and provide our Asbestos Awareness training, face –fit testing, and statutory inspections – for day to day compliance and for upcoming projects. They also fully project manage our asbestos abatement projects to ensure best practice and value for money. The Consult-Assess-Manage business approach that they adopt really does pay dividends for us as a client.
