The First Corporate Manslaughter Prosecution - Don't be the Next
Peter Eaton, the sole director of Cotswold Geotechnical Holdings, based in Birdlip, was charged at Stroud Magistrates' Court on June 17th 2009 with unlawfully killing Mr Wright by gross negligence under the Corporate Manslaughter Act 2007.
The law aims to make the prosecution of companies and their bosses in relation to deaths at work simpler.
A life changing trauma for Mr Eaton a life ending tragedy for Mr Wright and his family and friends.
